Animal and nature lover. Adventure and photography enthusiast. Passionate conservationist.

Aloha! I am a photographer, storyteller, and wildlife researcher. My love for wildlife, enthusiasm for photography, and passion for learning about the natural world and our place in it, has led me to some amazing adventures.

Some of my creative influences come from growing up in Maine, surrounded by nature and wilderness. Outdoor adventures and learned skills instilled in me respect for the earth and what it provides to us.

And my family – my grandfather especially – always had a camera handy. There are old photos going back several generations, and we joke that a photography gene must run in the family.

A few years ago I left a high-stress job as a criminal defense paralegal to return to school and pursue my passion for wildlife conservation, learning deeper about myself and the world. Going back to school at 35, leaving a stable career, was a big a risk, but it’s been the best decision I’ve ever made.

Pursuing my passions has allowed me to feel renewed; to see the world in a new way, through others eyes and my own.

To me, photography is memories, introductions, inspiration and knowledge, beauty and conflict; it’s visual immersion and heartfelt.

My photography is an opportunity to share my view of the world with you, introducing you to new places, people and experiences.

My mission is to tell stories about wildlife and the communities connected to, and affected by, wildlife conflicts/successes, furthering wildlife, environmental and cultural conservation through ethical photography, storytelling, and authentic connections.

My goal is to bring joy and empathy in people’s hearts by sharing wildlife, nature, and human stories. To encourage self-healing and restoration through nature, and to be an advocate, inspiring others to take real action in their communities.

I hope to be a resource that invites people to think deeper, and act to restore, revive and protect biodiversity along with our connections to ourselves, and each other.

Whether it’s an image of my favorite leopard sitting high in a tree, the focus of a research project, a starry night sky, or a secluded beach on Maui, I hope my journeys lead you to discover your relationship to wildlife, people, nature, and yourself; that these moments inspire you to look closer at this beautiful, incredible planet.
